💛 Life gave lemons and limes 💚 ~ I made a citrus tart & hibiscus lime tea to get through my b**** of a cold/flu (not quite sure what this is as I've had a flu jab) / post holiday (very physical) blues of a fever/coughing/sneezing etc. Can't really taste or stomach much but citrus seems to be a winner as I can actually TASTE it 💃 (and it has vitamin C etc) ~ The tart recipe is adapted from @ibreatheimhungry with the following changes: - I used 1 cup lime/lemon juice instead of 1/2 cup (just because I wanted more of a tart rather than bars. - 8 egg yolks instead of six to compensate for the above. - added a dash of turmeric and black pepper (about 1/8-1/4 tsp) - added 1/2 tsp vanilla powder - used 2tbsp agar agar instead of gelatin (either should be fine) (Recipe here: https://www.ibreatheimhungry.com/keto-coconut-lime-bars-low-carb-gluten-free/ ) ~ The hibiscus citrus tea (lemonade) is a handful of dried hibiscus flowers in 1.5 ltr water with mint, ginger, a dash of turmeric, black pepper, salt (I swear you can't taste it), brew for ages (sorry didn't time it). Then add as much or as little citrus as you like (200ml for me) and sweetener or choice. Works hot or cold. ~ #lemontart #hibiscustea #ketosnack #ketodessert #lemon #instafood #lemonade #glutenfree
🌞Travel Noatmeal 🌞 ~ So staying keto whilst travelling is next to impossible, mainly because everything cooked outside is cooked in vegetable oil. Banana bread is like a warm hug, always comforting... always satisfying. Hope you enjoy! • 🍌Ingredients 300 grams banana – yellow, not brown (approximately 3 medium. 180 grams (3 ½) eggs, raw, mixed well 50 grams (3 ½ tablespoons) olive oil 200 grams (1 ¾ cup ) almond flour, blanched - ground 60 grams ( ¼ cup) pecans, raw - chopped 5 grams (1 teaspoon) baking powder - Calumet™ or Magic 2.5 grams (1/2 teaspoon) baking soda • 🥣 Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 350º fahrenheit. 2. Grease a loaf pan with coconut oil. 3. Add all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix on high until combined and batter is the consistency of a cake batter. 4. Pour batter into greased loaf pan.
